AKM is much more powerful, but also bigger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pros:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Smaller player and songs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sound effects managed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cons:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Slower than the other AT3 players.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A bit less features.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the limitations regarding what this player can accomplish:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Only one PSG per Subsong.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No &#8220;hard to soft&#8221; sounds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SoftAndHard more limited: hardware part is only with fixed hard period (allows &#8220;Ben Daglish&#8221; effects).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only speed change at the start of a pattern are encoded.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arpeggio and Pitch values in the Expressions are limited in range: from -64 to 63.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arpeggio and Pitch Expressions are limited in size: 127 items only.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No Legato.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In an instrument, period in Software mode must be automatic, cannot be forced.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No retrig.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effects:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reset with volume<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set volume<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(fast)Pitch up\/down<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arpeggio table (inline will be converted)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pitch table<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Force Instrument Speed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Force Arpeggio Speed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Force Pitch Speed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>On exporting, warnings are shown if some song items could not be correctly exported.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The&nbsp;AKM, or Minimalist player, is a small but very powerful player, especially useful for 4K demo, or 64kb games, for example.
