Welcome to the STarKos homepage !

STarKos is a soundtracker (= software used to compose music) for Amstrad CPC, an old 8bits computer from 1985 with a Z80 CPU at nearly 4Mhz and an AY3-8910 as a sound processor.

This web site is fully dedicated to this tool because it is the best music software ever made on CPC. It also more complex than the ones already available. That's why you'll find here an on-line documentation, also available in the software itself of course. STarKos help files are ENTIRELY translated in english AND in french, but the tool remains in english. Everything was made to be understandable, but don't hesitate to ask me for any more help.

STarKos works on any CPC with 128kb memory. It also fully works on emulators. You will find more CPC software at www.cpcscene.com

The 'Resources' page contains SKS files from released productions. Don't hesitate to download them and understand the tricks and technic used by their authors ! However, please contact them and wait for their agreement if you want to use the songs in your own productions.


STarKos is FREEWARE. You can freely copy and spread it around the world. However, feedback, comments, ideas, bug reports or donations are welcome. STarKos IS supported by its author. Bugs will be corrected, and I intend to release enhanced versions later.
